They’re two different forms of magic.

Spelled Fragrance Oils are scent forward, wearable oils where fragrance, skin feel, and magical intention come together! Each fragrance is developed around its intention and undergoes its own working process before being blended into its sweet almond oil base.

Ritual Oils are working forward. They begin with a magical intention and are built around botanicals, correspondences, carrier oils, infusion, and ritual work specific to each formula. Think of them as tools designed to become part of your craft.

Choose a Spelled Fragrance Oil when you want something you can wear as fragrance while incorporating its intention into your everyday ritual.

Choose a Ritual Oil when you’re looking for a more traditional ritual tool for things like anointing, candle work, petitions, altar work, or your own personal practice.

Neither is the “stronger” option they’re simply created differently and meant to be experienced differently!

Unlike our Spelled Fragrance Oils, Ritual Oils don’t share one universal base.

Depending on the working, we may use oils such as rosehip, sweet almond, castor, sunflower, grapeseed, raspberry seed, infused oils, and more. Carrier blends are selected according to both the physical qualities we want from the finished oil and the intention behind the formula.

Some are! After infusion and straining, each Ritual Oil receives a carefully selected essential or fragrance oil intended to complement its formula and intention. However, fragrance isn’t the focus of this collection, the working is.

Devotional Oils are created specifically around deities, spirits, saints, or other devotional figures and are intended to complement personal devotional practice.

They may be incorporated into offerings, altar work, prayer, candle work, anointing, or however you respectfully approach your personal practice!

Custom Oils are made around your requested intention rather than an existing Crossroads formula. This is the option for something more personalized when one of our current creations doesn’t quite fit what you’re looking for!

Absolutely! Oils can be incorporated together when their intentions make sense alongside one another. You might wear a Spelled Fragrance Oil while using a Ritual Oil within your working, or combine complementary Ritual Oils as part of a larger practice!

More isn’t automatically better, though! Choose combinations that actually make sense for what you’re trying to accomplish! Remember here at the crossroads intention is key !
